I have recently discovered Old Blind Dogs by way of
Pandora
Radio on the Internet. I really enjoy their music and
stories but
I can't understand a lot of the words, though I love
the sounds
of the language.

So I headed out see what I could find to help figure
out the
words. Then I can pretend to sing along. I found
the words to
the songs but again a lot of words I don't know.
More
searching lead me here. What a wonderful site! I
would love to
learn more of the language but other than talking to
myself I
know no one who speaks Scottish so it would be
very hard for
me to retain the structure and such.

I just wanted to say, "Thank you!" for having this site
available. My mom was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland
and recently passed away Oct. 6, 2010, at the age of
73. I miss hearing her voice and the words she used to
say. I am now a grandmother and was looking up the
Scottish word for it, so I can pass on our heritage. She
was called, "Gran," and so I wanted something
different. Reading the words on this site, I hear my
mom's voice in my head. Thank you for the memories!
